How we collect and label reviews
A plain description of where the quotes on this site come from, how we check them and what the labels mean.
Policy version 1.0 · September 3, 2026Where quotes come from
Every quote on this site was published somewhere else first: a review site, a magazine, a contractor's website, a public forum, a video or a TAMKO case study. We collect them from public sources and ask permission where the source requires it. We do not pay reviewers for the quotes on this site; where TAMKO paid for a feature or produced the source, the quote says so.
They are verbatim
Quotes are reproduced word for word, including the typos. When we shorten a quote we use an ellipsis, and when we add a word for clarity it appears in square brackets. Quotes captured from video captions are checked against the audio before publication and say so until they are.
How they are verified and dated
Each quote carries the date it was published and the date we last confirmed it still exists at its source. If a source disappears, the quote is marked as archived. If an author asks us to remove a quote, we do.
This collection holds 376 displayed quotes from dataset version 1.1.0, compiled 2026-09-03.
What the labels mean
When a speaker has a relationship with TAMKO, the quote carries a label. The label is part of the quote and is never hidden behind a tooltip.
The speaker's company is in the TAMKO Pro program. Certified contractors are separately owned businesses that may receive marketing support, rebates and enhanced warranties from TAMKO.
TAMKO produced the source: a case study, a video, a press release or a page on tamko.com. The chip names which. The speaker's words are their own; TAMKO chose to publish them.
TAMKO gave the quote to the publication that ran it; the speaker did not talk to the publication directly.
The publication was paid by TAMKO to produce the feature the quote appears in.
The speaker's organization has a commercial partnership with TAMKO.
TAMKO hosted the speaker at a facility or supplied product for testing, and the speaker states they were not paid.
Who publishes this site
TAMKO Building Products publishes this site and chooses what appears on it. It is a curated collection of favorable and mixed reviews, not a survey of everything said about TAMKO. It never presents itself as a third-party review site and it does not compute an aggregate star rating from other sites' reviews.
How customer reviews will work
Homeowners who have a TAMKO roof installed by a TAMKO Pro Certified contractor will be invited to review it here. Each review is checked against the installation and the contractor is named. The review is published whether it is favorable or not, unless it cannot be verified.
Machine-readable data
Every quote, its source and its labels are available as a JSON file and in the page markup, so search engines and AI assistants can cite the original sources rather than this page.
