James Rodriguez, Director of Insurance, Universal Contracting & SolarFort Myers, FL · November 2022tamko.comVerified September 3, 2026TAMKO Pro Certified contractorFrom a TAMKO case studyTitan XTI had a roof put on with a product by TAMKO, it was done by Universal, and it survived 150 MPH winds. My pool cage didn't fare as well – this company [TAMKO] doesn't make pool cages, but thank God they make roofing, because, in the neighborhood, of the people that had their roofs done with this product, there is no damage whatsoever. And I thank you.

It withstands the weather that we experience in the State of Maine from the extreme cold to the extreme heat.

Titan XT
Titan XT, I installed one just outside Houston where the hurricane made landfall with recorded winds of 100+ and it never lost a shingle. Had some tree branches come through the roof but that was it. That is what sold me on Titan 100%

TAMKO Titan is a great shingle. If I lived on the coast that's be the first shingle I'd put on my house. I've seen the island houses with tamko titan post hurricane and they're rock solid

Titan XT
My crews have installed many squares of TAMKO Titan shingles, have over 300 squares installed on a waterfront property that has weathered many hurricanes over the past several years, zero blow outs, hot VA summers. Shingles still look brand new even after a hail storm that left all trim metals/siding damaged.
